My Personal Standpoint – On People Blaming the Philippine Government

This is just my personal standpoint on the issue about the Philippine Political System published over the Internet. That the Philippine Government System is rubbish ( as they describe it).

I am not that knowledgeable enough about laws but, somehow, I know some things. I think it is not  about the political system…how the system implemented it is. You might have blamed Malacanang for things that have fallen short our expectation, but a good foundation for more effective political system lies on the people. What have we done? What have we contributed as expected responsible citizens?

Undeniably, a big part of Philippine failure on some things is greatly contributed by many citizens. How could I say that? Because I see it. But that does not exactly justify the destiny they have now. They should have done too.

Maaring sinisisi natin ang Malacanang for corruption but we should realize that even in our office corruption exists. Sa pagkilos ng tama even if we know that  many people are doing otherwise.

P.S. THE PHILIPPINES STILL DESERVES PEOPLE LIKE US.

Some Tips to AdWords Ads Performance Checking and Editing

Google-AdWords-Editor2

Before you make any changes to an ad text, see to it that it has accumulated enough performance data for analysis. This is to determine whether a particular ad performs well or not. Let the ad run for 1-2 weeks -this range should be okay.

How to determine whether a particular campaign, Ad group, ad text, or keyword is performing well or not?

If you have determined that a particular keyword is not profitable or in other words, it does not give a better return-on-investment ( ROI), you can try editing – with the suggested range of time above.

Which data should check to determine your Adwords Ads performance?

When checking your Adwords ads performance, you should keep an eye on the following data:

  • Click-trough-rate (CTR). As defined, the CTR of a campaign, ad group, ad text, or keyword, is the ratio of clicks against impressions with a formula: CTR=[number of clicks/number of impressions]*100. Usually,  a  keyword having a CTR that is more than 1% is a keyword that considered to be performing good, but still , it can be improved. When it is less than 1% then you should  make modification on it. If it does not work, other option would be to delete it and experiment other keywords again from your researched keywords. When an ad text (also for campaign, Ad group, keyword) has a low CTR, it is considered to be not persuasive enough for readers to take action (click) as this could be generating enough impressions but is making less or no clicks. Should this case occur, try to edit you ad text. Make it more persuasive by making it an ad having more sense. Add call to action word or phrases like “buy now” or “order now” or “sign-up here”. It is also important that you make it more credible by making it spelling or grammar error-free.
  • Ad Rank or Ad Position. Your ad rank data tells you if your ad is eligible to enter the auction. In other words, your Ad Rank determines if your ad can appear or generate impression when a particular query is performed. If your ad ranks below first page ( like when it is ranked between 12-15), it certainly can not generate impressions because there are many ads which compete for limited positions ( usually 10 positions showing on the first page). Your ad rank is determined by 2 factors – your bid for a keyword and its Quality Score. Your bid is the amount that you are willing to pay for a certain keyword for its impression.Your keyword’s Quality score is calculated using the following factors: (1)Historical CTR (2) Account History ( including its performance in particular geographic regions) (3) Relevance of the keyword the ad text and (4) Quality of the landing page you use as a destination URL.
  • Maximum CPC. Keeping an eye on a keyword maximum cpc bid can play an important role for your ad impressions. Adjusting your max cpc bid can make a significant changes for your ads.

This is for now. I’ll be posting more tips soon.
