Our company received another request for assessment for an affiliate marketing website. Yes, our company offers free Adwords advertising consultation and website optimization assessment.

I am posting this topic because, for sure, this will also be useful most especially for those individuals and businesses who wish to harness the power of pay-per-click advertising for their business success.

Below is the juice of the site assessment I just finished and sent to client…

The Importance of Landing Page Optimization ( the page/web page where your potential customers are directed after clicking your Ads).

You can increase landing page conversion rate by considering the following:

  • Whether you are promoting products or services, it is imperative to present them in such a way they are highly accessible by your website visitors. In other words, it is better to make a banner on your page that is linked to the actual purchase site than just providing a keyword or key-phrase links. Easy website (Product) navigation is very important in AdWords Advertising.
  • It is recommended to put your product or service banner ( usually an image with description and prices) above the fold. Meaning, it should be visible to your website visitors even without scrolling the page. It has been proven through studies that majority of website users do not like to scroll the page – and they walk away.
  • Your landing page ( the destination page you use in your AdWords ads) should bear the promises written in your ads. In other words, if your ads offer ‘wrinkle cream’ product, it is expected that the page where your potential clients are directed has the product ‘wrinkle cream’ and it should be detailed.
  • The importance of keywords visibility. Your landing page should have the keywords you exactly ( or close to ) the keyword or phrase you use in your AdWords ads. Clients are visual in nature. That means, when they don’t see content on your page that is relevant to what they read on your ad, they navigate away your page.

Above are necessary things to do for your landing page optimization. However, these are just a tip of the iceberg. When you decide to commence product promotion through Adwords Advertising campaign, you have to learn more AdWords strategies necessary to succeed. Thus, you will also need to know the step-by-step process involved in this advertising program.

Website Promotion through Adwords Advertising ( Pay-per-click campaign)

The use of Adwords advertising can be a great help to boost your website’s return-on-investment. That is, if you are doing it right.

If you are planning to harness the power of Adwords advertising for your business. Consider the following when you commence your Adwords operation:

  1. Define your Goal – clearly understand your Adwords advertising Goal. Is it for lead generation? Making sales or conversion?
  2. Define your target market – your Adwords advertising campaign must be targeted to specific clients ( clients that really need your products or service). Your knowledge in Demography play a vital role.
  3. Research for highly relevant keywords to be used for your Adwords ads ( keywords that specifically target your product or service). The more specific is your ads, the more chances of funneling the right customers.
  4. Begin developing your Adwords Advertising campaign ( Sign-up for Adwords Account, Start writing Ads)
  5. Monitor your campaign
  6. Refine your Adwords campaign based on your analysis during the monitoring stage. ( The process is just a cycle and constant refining)
